starting off slow, and work into the week

It's all about pacing.  I've had two hard weeks at the office, I think I'm ready for an easy week.  That's my strategy.  Going out slow today, working regular consistent hours -- flexible, but consistent.  Not getting too caught up in any issue, it will all get done in it's time.  I like it, positive, productive without all the hype.

Then there's the important part of the week -- workouts!

I'm shooting for 45 miles this week.  Hard workouts on Wednesday and Saturday.  One of those days will be at the XC course -- 5 miles worth of repeat switch backs, and another will be my favorite -- tempo (ugh), that's always the mental challenge for the miler in me (actually the 800 meter runner).

Monday's a "no run" day.  Pool at lunch.  Actually hope to get in the pool twice this week, and yoga on Thursday.

My ankle has been talking too me -- I'm not sure what triggers it, but I still have not fully recovered from that sprain I had back in May.  Age, the one noticeable side-effect that I would like to minimize -- slow recovery to injury.  So the key... injury free.  More cross training.

So overall, it's looking like a great week.  And now that fall's here, we're enjoying some beautiful sunshine on the coast!

Got to get to work, or so much for that consistency thing I mentioned up above. Have a good day.  aero out
