I thought that finding time to blog would be much easier once I stopped the trying to make the oly trials in track, but life is funny the way it has a tendency to over-book itself immediately. Yeah, I'm trying to blame life -- really I know it's me and my wacky ways.
Looks like I've nearly got the 50 miles per week thing down. Been doing it for 4 weeks now. Body is starting to feel normal. I've even been able to maintain the x-training with deep water running, surfing, yoga and lots of dog hikes each week. This week we're adding hard workouts. Wednesday it was six times 3:30 on / off and on Saturday it will be some type of tempo (my favorite, right?). Us milers have such a tough time w/ the longer stuff!
I've got a crazy day at work today. Looking to fill two vacant positions! I'm sure I'll be completely fatigued after today's interviews, but nothing a good "play track" can't fix this evening. Especially w/ this nice warm weather. Doing drills, strides and plyos is so nice out at the Cuesta track. One of these days I'll get photos uploaded to the blog, so you all can see what great facilities we have to work out with.
That's it for now. I do (really) plan to get back to the blog this weekend. aero
